Hernia and back pain
Hernia and Spit are conditions that cause severe back pain and sometimes leg pain. They can be so similar that the general practitioner cannot make a diagnosis.
Both conditions have a common cause: fibers in the intervertebral disc tear. This does not happen ‘just like that’; a process precedes it. ‘Internal leaks’ in the intervertebral disc play an important role in this. These leaks can often be reduced with special exercises. This promotes recovery and prevents recurrences.
Additionally, sleeping with a body pillow helps. This way, the back is not twisted and can recover from the strain of the day. This reduces back pain and speeds up recovery.
