Many people suffer from sleep problems. Few know that a better sleeping position can significantly improve sleep quality.
Sleep Quality Research
In collaboration with the monthly magazine gezondNU, a study was conducted among 89 of their readers on the influence of sleeping position on sleep quality and the development of physical complaints (headache, neck pain, and back pain).
In this study, sleeping with a Hi4 pillow and body pillow was compared to the participants' usual situation. They slept with their own pillow, without a body pillow.
The Hi4 pillow ensures that the neck is at the correct height and properly supported. The body pillow ensures the correct sleeping position, where both the back and neck are not twisted.

The combination of Hi4 and Body scored better on sleep quality. The participants rated their own pillow insufficient 48 times and the combination of Body and Hi4 only once.
The number of scores above average was nine for their own pillow
and 40 for the Hi4 and Body combo.

Participants woke up less often with the Hi4 and Body combination than with their own pillow alone.

Participants felt better rested after a night’s sleep with the Hi4 and Body combination than with their own pillow.
Why does sleep quality improve?
The research shows that participants had significantly less pain and stiffness in the neck and back when sleeping with a Hi4 and body pillow.
Also, they turned over less often. This leads to fewer sleep interruptions and results in deeper, better sleep.
